Jessner’s Peel

 This chemical peel has been used as a peeling agent to treat hyperkeratotic disorders for over 100 yrs. Jessner’s solution is a chemical peel known for its effectiveness in treating various skin concerns such as acne, hyperpigmentation, and signs of aging. It typically contains a combination of three key ingredients:

1. Salicylic Acid (14%):
– A Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) known for its ability to penetrate and exfoliate within the pores, making it particularly effective for treating acne and oily skin. Salicylic acid also has anti-inflammatory properties.

2. Lactic Acid (14%):
– An Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that helps to exfoliate the surface of the skin, promote cell turnover, and improve skin texture and hydration. Lactic acid is gentle and also helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pigmentation.

3. Resorcinol (14%):
– An antiseptic and disinfectant that helps to break down rough, thickened skin. Resorcinol enhances the peeling process and assists in treating conditions like acne and hyperpigmentation.
