MicroNeedling

Skin needling, also known as microneedling or collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure that involves puncturing the skin with fine needles to stimulate up to 400% more collagen production and rejuvenate the skin.
During a skin needling session, a trained skincare professional uses a device has tiny needles ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 mm in length. The needles create controlled punctures or micro-injuries on the skin’s surface.

The micro-injuries created by the needles trigger the skin’s natural healing process. This process involves the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential proteins for maintaining skin structure and elasticity. The micro-injuries also promote the growth of new skin cells.

The collagen and elastin produced as a result of skin needling help to improve the appearance of various skin concerns:
– Fine Lines and Wrinkles: By stimulating collagen production, skin needling can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

 – Scars: It can improve the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks by breaking down old scar tissue and promoting the growth of new, healthier skin.

 – Hyperpigmentation: Skin needling can help to fade dark spots and pigmentation issues by promoting even skin tone.

 – Skin Texture: It can enhance overall skin texture, making it smoother and more radiant.

Improvement in Product Absorption: The micro-channels created by the needles also enhance the absorption of skincare products. This allows topical treatments such as serums, moisturisers, and vitamin creams to penetrate deeper into the skin, maximising their effectiveness.

This the crucial moment where skin boosters or platelet rich plasma taken from the clients own body can be reintroduced to the dermis by way of mirconeedling.

Minimal Downtime: Skin needling is considered minimally invasive, and recovery time is relatively short compared to more aggressive procedures. However, mild redness, swelling, and sensitivity can be expected immediately after the procedure, which typically resolves within a few days.

Number of Sessions: The number of sessions required depends on the specific skin concerns being addressed and the severity of those concerns. Typically, multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart are recommended to achieve optimal results.
